On Saturday, April 16, 2005, Katie Layne Trosper became the bride of Jeremy Mark Schmid of Trout Lake.
The ceremony was held in the White Salmon Methodist Church to a standing room only crowd that included guests traveling from Florida and Hawaii.
The ceremony began with the couple's mothers Shirley Trosper of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Kristie Schmid of Trout Lake lighting unity tapers.
The bride was given away in marriage by her brother Jamie Trosper and was attended by her cousin Ashley Trosper as maid of honor and Sarah Bray as junior bridesmaid. Gracie Vaughn served as flower girl.
She wore a strapless gown featuring a beaded bodice and a train which laced down the back. Her maid of honor wore a strapless burgundy gown and her attendants wore white satin tea length gowns.
The groom was attended by his brother Adam Schmid as best man, Dustan Woodruff and Jamie Trosper as groomsmen. Issac Wang II was ring bearer.
The groom and his attendants wore black tuxes with camouflage vests and ties.
The reception followed at the White Salmon Elks lodge, which was decorated in dozens of tiny candles, burgundy tulle and white Gerbera daisies.
The couple honeymooned in Las Vegas, Nev.
