Granny Plummer's Obit from The Enterprise Archive

MARY PLUMMER

Mary Alecia Plummer, formerly of White Salmon, died in her home on March 6, 2007.

She was born on Nov. 9, 1932, in Santa Monica, Calif. She was the daughter of Charles and Katheryn Cleaveland. She was a graduate of Wallace High School in Wallace, Idaho, before attending Columbia Gorge Community College several years later. She was united in marriage to Daniel F. Plummer on May 12, 1953. They were married 54 years before he preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 2007.

The Plummers lived in White Salmon for many years, where she worked for Head Start, Whitson Elementary and Klickitat County Senior Services. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading and science fiction. Her love of life was only exceeded by her love for family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Katheryn Hays, Dallesport, Charles Crowel, Kuski, Idaho, Dan Plummer, Bee Vill, Texas, Elizabeth Plummer, Glenwood, David Plummer, White Salmon, Rochelle Billette-Musgrove, Trout Lake, Clayton Plummer, Roseburg, Ore., Thomas Plummer, White Salmon, and Mitchell Plummer, Underwood; 23 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and seven great, great-grandchildren; brothers Jack and Tom Cleaveland, Post Falls, Idaho; and sisters Joy Trower, Spokane, and Rosie Pheming, Post Falls, Idaho.

Funeral services were held at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon on March 13, 2007. She was buried at White Salmon Cemetery.

A memorial (Angel Fund) has been established in her name at Whitson Elementary School in White Salmon.
